"why aren’t there more audible coughs in more songs?" you ask and then you think about the artists that you like and how they would never be dishonest when it came to their sound. they may have thought it was a cool idea at first but upon having to listen to the song in the mixing process several times, they soon realized it was bad. and you wouldn’t want your favorite artists to release something they thought was bad! and then you stop wondering why there aren’t more audible coughs in more songs
